The Vegetable Seed Pencil contains selected vegetable seeds embedded in a capsule in it’s tip. Vegetables are a part of the plant that animals and humans consume as food. Originally it was made up of fruits, flowers, stems, leaves, roots and seeds, and through the ages has changed. In recent times fruits, flowers, nuts and cereal grains have been removed from the list. Savory fruits like broccoli are still included as vegetables.
The original term means “plant grown for food”. The term ”veggie” was later created and is more accepted in society. Nutritionally, they are low in fat and carbohydrates, but are high in vitamins, minerals and fiber. No single veggie can provide all nutrients needed, so eating a variety is suggested. Suggestions of five or more portions per day is the ideal amount to consume. These vegetables can either been cooked or eaten raw.
